Skill-based challenges where the top minds in engineering, design, and innovation compete to have their ideas built, tested, and deployed on the actual seafloor.
Not drawings. All skill and time. Winners receive rewards — not prizes.
🔍 Explore the ChallengesDesign a high-performance digging attachment that maximizes breakout force through precision hydraulic integration, balancing raw power efficiency with superior durability. Deliver a winning concept for the ROV digging head design challenge.
We build our own systems — but we're always looking for better. Even if we've built something similar, results win. Period. If you improve it, you earn it. Winning designs are rewarded — regardless of what we've already built. The best ideas rise.

A 4-stage skill and time challenge. Design a 3-station ROV control room layout optimized for real-world seafloor operations. Each station must support a different operator role: navigation, tooling, and sensor monitoring.
Submissions are judged on functional layout, operational efficiency, human factors, and adaptability. No prior ROV experience required — engineering creativity is what wins.
Design a compact, fly-by-wire hydraulic manifold system to power a next-generation Quad-Trac Subsea Harvester. System must maintain precision control under extreme environmental loads.
Design a hydraulic manifold for the world's most advanced subsea excavation system. Pure Fly-By-Wire Quad-Trac synchronization — electronic-over-hydraulic control for all drive functions.
This is a 4-stage challenge. Submit your architecture, survive the cut, build a prototype, and see your design deployed on the Avalon platform.
This section will feature past challenge winners — their winning designs, their trips to HQ, videos of their prototypes being tested on the seafloor. Every win here is a shareable moment.
Subscriptions to Deep Blue Resources do not guarantee eligibility for or receipt of challenge rewards. Challenge rewards are limited and subject to official challenge rules, eligibility requirements, and program caps.
All challenges are skill-based and governed by official rules. Participation constitutes acceptance of those rules. Deep Blue Resources reserves the right to modify or cancel challenges at any time.
Gold rewards are measured by weight only — troy ounces and grams. Gold bars are 99.9% fine gold, branded with Deep Blue whale logo and unique serial numbers. Deep Blue Resources does not assign, guarantee, or predict the price of gold. Why we don't quote dollar values →
Recipients are responsible for all shipping and handling costs. Identity verification (KYC) is required before physical gold shipment. Minimum 1g required for shipment.
Challenge 4 and Challenge 5 are subject to subscriber milestone requirements. Deep Blue Resources does not guarantee specific timelines for challenge launches.
